Response Question: Sam returns (p. 113-164)
After visiting with Sam, Tim realizes that they have both changed. "I had a funny feeling about seeing Sam. It wasn't just that he was more grown-up or that I was more grown-up. It was something else. For the first time in my life I knew that Sam was wrong about something; I knew that I understood something better than he did." What does Tim understand better? Do you agree with Tim? Are his feelings more accurate than Sam's opinions?

Tim understand that Sam had just made a really foolish choice in joining the army. Tim knows that Sam is acting like a kid by wantig to join the army just for excitement. Tim also knows that Sam will get himself killed in the middle of a war. I kind of agree with Tim, because seeing Ned get his head chopped of you wouldn't want that to happen to your own brother. I think that Tim's feelings and Sam's opinions are both not accurate, because sometimes they are not always right.
Tim thought he understood that his brother made a mistake and his brother sam looks over the fact that he's wrong. He doesn't want to admit it. I agree with Tim because he doesn't want his brother to get killed becase he cares about him a lot. He also seen Ned die and he doesn't want it to happene to Sam. I think they are both right in what they are feeling because if Sam was my brother then I wouldn't want to have to think about him having a chance to die every day and have to live the day to witness it. Sam's feelings are also accurate too because he wants to fight for freedom. He doesn't want to live under the King anymore. Everyone is scared of the king so they take his side, but Sam built up enough courage to join the army and try to fight back. Sam is more accurate though because he is older and Tim is just a little shooken up and is still young and he can't realize the hidden truths of everything
Tim realize that Sam mad a really bad mistake by going into the army. I agree with Tim a little because Sam did make a bad choice by going into the army but at the same time it is what Sam wanted to do because he believed in fighting. I think that Sam is more accurate in this situation because Sam is older so he knows what he is doing. Tim is just a little boy who thinks he knows many things but he doesn't. So I believe that Sam is right in this situation with the war.
Tim understands that Sam is made a big mistake of joining the army. I think Sam knows he did to because he had a flashback of what him and his father had to used to do together. And that Sam knows it but don't really wants to admit it because there is no turning back. I agree with Tim because he knows his brother Sam can get killed but Sam is just being stubborn and is trying to be a hero by staying in the army. And yes I think Tim's feelings is more accurate because his brother is just trying to show that he's brave and knows he can die but still wants to do it. <3
Tim understands that Sam joined the army because Sam just wanted to be in something important and just for the excitement of it. I agree with Tim because he is right that Sam just joined the army for the excitement, and that is true because in the beginning, Sam told his father that many of his friends are joining and Sam wanted to be with them. Sam's opinion is more accurate even though I agree with Tim. Sam is older, educated, and has a positive explanation why he joined the army. ^_-
Tim realizes that Sam made the wrong choice by joining the army and going into war. I disagree with Tim because Sam joined the war because he is fighting for something he believes in and something that he thinks isn't right that they are doing to the country. I agree with Sam and think that his family just has to believe in him, stop fighting with him, and let him do something he believes in.

As my other peers have stated before,Tim understood that Sam made a mistake by going into the army and is staying in it for the wrong reasons. I absolutely agree with tim. Sam needs to come home because they need him and he is only staying in the army for selfish reasons.
Tim finally understands that Sam made a bad decision by joining the army. He knew it wasn't good for him but he couldn't do anything because thats what Sam wanted to do. I do agree with Tim but then again I dont because thats what Sam believe in. No Tim's feelings are not more accurate than Sam's because Sam knows what he talking about.
I thought Tim understands that Sam made a huge mistake by joining the army.Tim knows that Sam is acting immutaure by joining the army, he doesn't realize that it has alot of commitment and heart.Somtimes you have to what you think is right. I still think Sam should of joined because you have to learn from your mistakes.
Tim understands that Sam is wrong for entering the war as a Tory because they had taken Mr. Meeker his father and will soon take others for Sam and other Tories actions. I agree with Tim completely because if the Tories do not stop rebelling against the Redcoats then alot of people are going to get hurt that are innocent. Yes Tims opinions are more accurate than Sams. The reason why is because Sam thinks that if your free you have pride, brave, and independent. However, Tim thinks that being more cautious about what you do is the smart way.
Tim understands or feels that sam did not make a good decision in joining the army. He feels it was a mistake. Tim dont want to see his brother in the war and fears that he will get killed. I think Tim and sam both are right. Tim has a good point though because he feels sam joined the army to be in something important
tim think that Sam had make a big mistake that could take away sam's life. Tim also think Sam is joining the army just for fun. i think Tim have more respondsible, but that doesn't mean anything. i agree with Sam beacuse he went to college which mean Sam know more than Tim. And Sam he been out there with the army, while Tim just stay home help his parents with the house work. Tim is just like a frog in the well.
I think that Tim finally knows that Sam made a very big mistake by going into the army. But i also think that Sam knows that he not right in this problem but he do not want to admit it.I agree with both Sam and Tim because this is something that Sam really believe in and I think that you should always go after whatever you believe in and tha reason I say I agree with Tim is because he is right to in a way cause he don't want anything to happen to his brother cause hs looks up to him.

Tim understood better that joining the army was a mistake for Sam. Sam joined the army for the thrill and because his friends were joining, too. I agree with Time because it was all right in the beginning but now that Life is gone they need Sam to help around the tavern Tim can't do everything by himself. Tim's feelings are more accurate although it seems like Sam is right, Sam needs to come home and help his family.
Tim understand that Sam's choices in joining the army was a foolish one. i agree with tim because i wouldn't want my brother to go off to war and maybe die. Sam's opinions are more accurate because hes had more experience and Tims feelings are those of a young man not yet full matured.
Tim understands the fact that Sam was foolish enough to join the army in the first place and that he joined in it for the wrong reasons. I feel as though that he should not have joined into the army because he just was excited or fascinated with it, but because he was dedicated to risk his life during battle. Although Tim may feel that Sam shouldn't have joined in the army, Sam is old enough to make his own decisions. Tim is younger and does not know what appears to be going on. So I would say that the two's feelings wouldn't both be accurate.
