you agree or disagree? Why?

I agree because a lot of people can't build up enough courage to join the army and risk their life. I also disagree because there are different meanings of the word coward. People can join the army and all of a sudden get scared of dying. Also, people can be cowards and act disrespectful, but they are courageous enough to fight.

I agree with tim, because anybody who joined the army has to have a really big responsibility. Somebody who joined the army might die in the middle of the battle. Somebody who joined the army is not afraid to die during a battle. Sam knows that he could die in the army, but he still joins the army. Sam could not be a cowerd, because most cowerd does not have big responsibility. These are my opinions.

I actually disagree with that. Yes, most people who go into the army to fight are brave and willing to fight. They have no fear. Then, there's other people in the war, who just believe they're fighting for a good cause. They are probably incredibly nervous and frightened, but they're still there. They want to prove a point to people, and fight for what they think is good, nerves and all.

I dissagree with that because people who joins the army do worry about their life. It doesn't mean someone is tough and brave because they joined the army. Some people join the army to serve their Country. If I were to join the army I would be scared but at the same time I would be doing something good for my country.

I disagree. I do not think that just because you fight in the army that means you can not be a coward. It is possible for someone not to lack courage in one situation but be intimidated in another.Sam ws not scared to fight in the war but he timid about going back home to check and see if his family was in a good manner.

Yes, I agree with Tim because if you volunteer to join in the army or fight in it, you will be willing to fight for your rights and beliefs. So, that means that if you are fighting for the things you believe in, you will not be a coward about it. You will actually be proud about what you are fighting for if you have strong beliefs. Also, i agree with Tim because he says if you join you couldn't be a coward about it, because if you were a coward then why would you join? You rather be strong and proud about why you are joining the army and fighting for your beliefs. =D

I agree with Sam that anybody who joins the army is not a coward. The person is joining the army to fight in what they believe. Someone who is fighting for what they believe in is not a coward but a brave person. The person is standing up to fight instead of just staying back and doing nothing at all, that is a coward in my eyes. How can a person that fights for what they belive in and stands up be a coward?

I agree, this is because if you fight for what you believe in you are not being a coward. you would be a coward if you believed in something but when the time came to show your alliance you backed down. that would make you a coward. i believe that Tim was rite i what he said.

Amber makes a very valid point- a person can be very brave in one situation and cowardly in another situation. How do you think a soldier's attitude might change as he/she continues to fight? Do you think the hardships of war might alter a soldier's outlook?

I agree with Tim that anybody who joins the army to fight couldnt be a coward. The reason why is because i think that anyone who joins the army is cowardless. I think that it takes alot of heart to enter the war and knowing that the worst is about to come and you try to make the best of the situtation. I also think that anyone who for war must know it in their heart and not go by their first instinct.

I think that sam is right. The reason I say this is because people that will go out and fight for what they believe in must have some type of courage. See casue you could just as well sit at home and say that you do not like what is going on and do nothing about anything. But the people that go out and risk there life must have some type of courage no matter if its a lot or not. I also think that if you really believe that you want to go and sit up for something that you really believe in you should and you really can not be labeled as an coward or anything else like that.

I absolutely agree with Tim. The reason why I agree with Tim is because people that fight in war the reason of them doing it is because they have a strong belief in what they think and they are willing to do anything for what they feel and believe. I think that they are scared but when you believe in something so strongly just by doing it shows you can be scared inside but strong on the outside and and cowardless because you will be a hero in so many peoples eye.

I definitly agree with what Tim said that anyone who fights in the army is not a coward. When you join the army i feel that your fighting for your beliefs as well as for your country. It takes a lot of heart to fight in the war knowing that your risking your own life. People who risk their life for their country has to have a lot of courage and belief.

i agree with Sam because he fighter for freedom. everybody join the army are very brave and i admire them. eventhought his father was on the other side, he still have to fight for freedom. in this situation people that join the army are not a cowards. they fight for their country.

I agree with Tim because not only are they facing a much bigger and stronger army, they are also committing treason. Even though they may be frightened , but they still are brave enough to join the army in order to fight for what they believe in.They are helping their country and they have tremendous responsibility they have more than one person to worry about, not only themselves ,but the people in their unit and the people that they are traveling and fighting with.

I strongly disagree with Tim's statement. For someone to go out and risk their lives for somebody else,I think that would be called BRAVERY don't you think. However,I'm not saying that since you joined the war you are brave at everything. I find that to be impossible, everyone can be scared of something. I'm just making a point that when you join within the war that you are sacraficing your life and showing bravery anyway you look at it.

I understand what Amber's saying because if you fight in the army doesn't mean your not a coward. So that means I disagree with the question, because if you join the army it doesn't mean your tough. Maybe he wanted to act tough. Since he does alot of volunteering he probably wanted to show people that he can do tough stuff too.

I disagree. I don't think that if you go into the army and fight you can't be a coward because many people who are in the army know get scared at certain points in the army. But I also believe that you could gain courage when you get into the army.
