In Chapter 2, Mr. Meeker states that "you never get rid of
injustices by fighting” and Sam says that “either we’re going to be free or we’re
not.” How is Mr. Meeker’s comment an argument against war? How is Sam’s
comment an argument for war? Which one do you agree with? Why?

Mr. Meeker's Comment is an argument against war because you can fight a war for years and if you lose you will still be in the same place you started. Sams comment is an argument for war because if they dont fight they will never know freedom. if they do fight how ever they will have a chance at freedom. i agree with mr. meeker because fighting never resloves a problem it just makes it worse.
Mr. Meeker comment is an argument against war because he's saying that fighting will never solve anything. And Sam is saying that if they fight and win they can be free from slavery. I agree with Mr.Meeker because fighting never solves anything but just makes matters worse.
Mr. Meeker's statement is an argument against war because he is clearly saying that fighting is not a solution so no type of justice will be gained from it. Sam's statment shows that he believes that they have to choose whether they wanted to be free or not and sitting back and doing nothing is clearly coosing not to be free. I agree with Samuel. I would fight for my justice.
What do you think of the phrase, "freedom isn't free?"
I agree with Mr. Meeker's comment about the war, but in the same time also agree with Sam comment about war. in my opinion i think Mr. Meeker was right, fighting is not injustices. You can't fight to determind what is and what is wrong.
Mr. Meekers comment is against the war because he is trying to say fighting is not the answer when getting what you want. Sams comment is an argument for war because he is saying that we have a choice to be free or not but it is up to us to us to choose. I agree with Sams comment because he speaks the truth when he says "either we are going to be free or we are not." He has enough courage to step up and to speak how he feels about the situation.
